James (Wolfman) Stevenson passed peacefully on June 16, 2026. Born May 30,1945 to John and Mildred Kenworthy Stevenson in Ft. Worth, Texas.
After graduating from Haltom High School, he proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. He retired from Miller Brewery after 27 years. He volunteered with Meal on Wheels for a year, while waiting on his wife to retire. They purchased an RV and traveled the United States seeing all but three states.
James was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Teresa Jean, Regina Ann and husband, Richard Gordon; and his brother, Robert.
James is survived by his wife, Jeanette Johnson Stevenson; children, Mary and husband, Brad Ballard, Jacob Simon Purple (Jami Lee Stevenson) and husband, Charles Brit Burt, Carol (Hardin) Hubbard, Eric Hardin and wife, Tonya; seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Sisters, Betty Stevenson Williams, Mary Allen Stevenson and husband, Bob Maglish; and his brother, John, sister-in-law, Debra and husband, Ketih Bowen. Numerous nephews and nieces of Texas, Utah, and Georgia.
James will be remembered for his generous heart, sense of humor, love of music, fantastic BBQ, love of family and friends, love of travel, and life lessons he taught his two girls. The memories he created and the laughter he shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
James will be inurned at Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery later this year with Marine Corp. funeral honors.
