James Louis Jacobs

James Louis Jacobs Sr., 75, a decorated Green Beret and Vietnam War Veteran, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 5^th, 2024 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Memorial Visitation:  6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at White’s Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.
James was born on September 7, 1948 in Rock Island, Illinois.  Beyond his military achievements, he was a beloved husband, father, and friend, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Fuller Tarlton; father, Clifford Allen Tarlton; brother, Donald Jacobs; sister, Deborah Nelson; grandson, James Louis Jacobs, III; and great-grandson, Chase Reynolds.

He is survived by wife, Kay Jacobs; son, James Jacobs, Jr. and wife, Lety; daughter, Melissa Hanes and husband, Warren; six grandchildren, Zach, Melanie, Amanda, Christopher, Donald, and Taylor; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Beth Carpenter, and Dortha Webb.
