James E. Dugger, loving husband, father, granddad, and great granddad died peacefully on August 30, 2026. He lived a long and full life.
He was born in Allen, TX on January 29, 1932 to Opal and Lenioel Dugger. He married Jewell Bartley in 1951. They raised three children and were married for 75 years.
He started in the printing business when he was 19 years old in Fort Worth eventually purchasing Cooksey Printing where he was owner for over 50 years.
He loved all things Texas, especially sports. Avid TCU, Cowboys, Mavericks, Ranger fan plus the Aledo Bearcats where his grandson played football. He also enjoyed gardening, horses, and country music.
He will be remembered for his smile, sense of humor and laughter.
James is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Joe Dugger.
Survivors: He will be missed by his wife, Jewell, and their children, Alicia (Rich) DeVon, Terri Dugger, and Dewayne (Patrice) Dugger; grandsons, Blake (Bekah) and Jeremy (Rose); and ten great grandchildren; plus numerous cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to your favorite charity.
The family will hold a private graveside service on Thursday, September 3, 2026.
