Jackie Ray Cole

Jackie Ray Cole, 71, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026, surrounded by his family, and went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, whom he loved with all his heart.

Jackie was born on January 22, 1955, in Waurika, Oklahoma, to Harry Edwin Cole and Marcell Mattiebell Lovett Cole. He moved to Brock, Texas, at age one and grew up there. Jackie attended Brock schools and later graduated from Calvary Bible College.He married Brenda Joy Dickey on March 17, 1973, in Weatherford, Texas, and they shared 53 years of marriage.

Jackie spent his life working alongside his family at Harry’s Greenhouse, where he used the skills he learned from his father, Harry, to help maintain a successful nursery business. He loved playing golf, watching sports, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and attending their activities and shows. He also enjoyed playing cards with his employees and pulling the occasional practical joke. Jackie brought laughter into everything he did.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Marcell Cole; and his grandparents, Johnie and Marie Cole and Charles and Mollie Lovett.

Jackie is survived by his wife, Brenda; his children, Leslie and wife Stephanie, Evan and wife Megan, and Heather and husband Russ; his grandchildren, Anderson, Payton, Chris, Farron, Violet, and Grayson; his great-grandchildren, Mason, Oliver, and Archer; and numerous beloved family members.
