Jack Andrew Harris, Sr., 74, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025. Born on May 18, 1951, in Fort Worth, Texas, Jack lived a life marked by quiet strength, unwavering work ethic, and a deep love for his family.
A devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Jack was a man of few words but deep convictions. He worked hard in the construction industry for most of his life, with a legacy rooted in grit, integrity, and simple joys. He took pride in an honest day’s work, and even more pride in the lives of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His quiet encouragement and heartfelt presence were steady beacons for those who knew him.
In his younger days, Jack loved to dance, and in every season of life, he was never far from a cup of hot coffee and a peaceful morning. He was a sharp shooter on the pool table, a master of angles and focus – just like in life. His calm demeanor, dry wit, and gentle strength made him a grounding presence in every room he entered.
Jack is preceded in death by his beloved son, Jack Andrew Harris, Jr.; his mother, Mary Ann Harris; his father, Truman Harris; his brothers, Billy Ray Harris, Phillip Harris, and Kenneth Harris; and his sisters, Karla Joy Moore, and Karen Harris (McGowan).
He is survived by his son, Sonny Harris and wife, Tiffeney; his daughter, Shawna Harris; his siblings, Sharon Gonzalez, Doyle Harris, Owen Harris, and Peggy Harris; and his grandchildren, Devin Lohse and his wife, Juliya, Casey Followell, Christopher McLaughlin, Shayla Lavizzo-James, Felicity Sapia and her wife, Abbie, Shyann Brown, Nathan Wiedebusch and his wife, Kathy, Trevor Wiedebusch and his wife, Nichole, Tanner Wiedebusch and his wife, Ashlyn, and Tami Jones and her husband, Kolbi. Jack also leaves behind many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family who will carry on his memory with love and honor.
Though he was a man of simplicity, Jack’s impact was profound. He loved fiercely, supported quietly, and left an enduring mark on those blessed to know him.
A memorial service will be held to honor Jack’s life on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at White’s Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford, Texas 76086.
In lieu of flowers, the family simply asks that you take a quiet moment, enjoy a good cup of coffee, and remember Jack’s life: a life well-lived, and a man well-loved.
