Irene Emma Pryor

Irene Emma Pryor, 91, of Azle, TX went to join the Lord on August 23, 2024, surrounded in song by her loving family. 

A celebration of Life will be held September 5th at Hilltop Family Church at 6pm in Springtown, TX. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the [Alzheimer’s Association].

 Irene was born on May 4, 1933, in Jefferson, OR to M.L. and Opal McKinney. She married LC Pryor on August 26, 1951, at the age of 18 with whom she built an empire lasting 67 long and joy-filled years.

 She moved with her family to Azle in 1960 and to their current house shortly after where she has remained for 63 years. She began teaching grade school in Azle at the beginning of the 71-72 school year and has made a lasting impact on so many of her students.

 Irene is survived by her children, Karen May and husband, Mike, Karol "Jeannie" Cox and husband, Mike, Keith Pryor and wife, Mary Charles, Kenneth "Kenny" Pryor and wife, Tammy, Kelly Steele, Russell Pryor and wife, Jennifer, Jackie Capers and husband, Brian; 23 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren, 12 spouses within those generations; and many cousins, nephews, and nieces. She rejoins her husband, parents, and sister, Nita.
