Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2021 at White’s Mineral Wells Chapel, 101 N. E. 4th Avenue, Mineral Wells. Bud was born January 13, 1959 in Eastland, to Dorothy Sullivent and Ollie Griffin. Bud attended school in Abilene, a true academic throughout. A little later, Bud moved to be closer to his Grandmother, Helen Britt, who he adored. He was joined by his cousin and best friend Kenneth Henson. They were inseparable. Soon after, he married Dianna Mann, and in 1980 welcomed son, Jeremy Lynn Griffin. Bud would later relocate to Mineral Wells with his uncle Jerry and aunt Dolores. In Mineral Wells, he met Debra Taylor. They married in 1984, and while together they had 3 children, Bradley Aaron Griffin in 1984, Brian Edward Griffin in 1986, and Brittany RaeLynn Griffin in 1991. He lived in Mineral Wells for 37 years. Being an amazing father was something that came effortlessly to Bud. He cherished his family and loved his children, and they loved and adored him the same. When his Grandchildren were born, his love just grew that much more. Bud had many accomplishments in his life. A very hard worker, he worked many types of jobs throughout his life. From cleaning out tanker cars, chemical spills, the oil field, a juvenile detention home, to later in life working as an amazing cook in several prominent Cafes here in Mineral Wells. Bud was a track star in school. As an adult, with his kids, Bud was an avid video game player. We would just watch him play in amazement. He loved listening to music with his eyes closed. He was an artist, fantastic cook, always taking photos, and by far the funniest person we will ever know. To attempt to summarize a life as meaningful as his proves to be an impossible assignment. We were lucky to have the time we all had with him, and miss him terribly. He was a man that fought hard throughout his life. We are all better people for knowing him. Bud was preceded in death by his grandmother, Helen Britt; and father, Ollie E. Griffin.
