Heather Clede Hillard

October 7, 1977 — October 31, 2025

Weatherford

The earth lost an Angel when Heather Clede Hillard, 48, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away peacefully on the morning of October 31, 2025.

Heather was born on October 7, 1977, in Harlingen, Texas, to Paul “Jibber” and Laura Terheggen. She graduated from the University of Texas with a doctorate degree in Physical Therapy and devoted her career to helping others heal. For 22 years, she served at Cook Children’s Hospital, where her compassion and skill touched the lives of countless families. Her work in the neonatal intensive care unit was more than a profession—it was her calling. She had a gift for nurturing the tiniest and most fragile lives, offering strength, comfort, and hope when it was needed most.

Heather’s presence lit up every room she entered. Her radiant smile, warm laugh, and open-hearted nature drew people in instantly. She had a rare ability to make anyone feel seen and valued, greeting friends and strangers alike with genuine kindness. A natural caretaker and healer, she gave of herself freely—whether through her work, her friendships, or the countless small acts of love that defined her life.

She was also fiercely determined and lived with purpose. When Heather set her mind to something, “no” was never an answer she accepted. Her drive, passion, and unshakable optimism inspired everyone who knew her. Even in the face of challenges, she carried a fire in her eyes and an unwavering positivity that reminded others to keep faith and move forward.

Heather found her greatest joy in time spent with her husband Greg, her beloved daughters Hannah and Jenna, and her extended family and friends. Nature was her sanctuary. Her “happy place” was anywhere under the open sky—especially South Padre Island, where she grew up. Whether she was hiking through national parks, floating peacefully in the water, or building sand castles on the beach, she found deep peace in the outdoors and loved sharing those moments with the people she loved most.

Heather’s light, love, and laughter will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. She is deeply missed by her husband, Greg Hillard; her daughters, Hannah Ross and Jenna Ross; her sister, Genoa Terheggen; and her parents, Paul “Jibber” and Laura Terheggen. She is also lovingly remembered by numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and the many cherished friends whose lives she touched.

Heather’s warmth and strength will continue to shine through the lives she blessed—proof that her light, though gone from sight, will never fade.
