On the morning of September 14, 2022, at 8:55 a.m., our dearest Mom, Grace Madelyn (Bent) Dixon, went to be with our heavenly Father at home, with her children by her side. Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 19, 2022 at White’s Funeral Home Chapel in Springtown. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, September 18, 2022 at White’s Funeral Home Chapel in Springtown. Interment: 2:30 p.m., Monday, September 19, 2022 in Springtown Cemetery in Springtown. She was born December 12, 1931 in Norfolk, Massachusetts to Halford O. Bent and Ruth M. Ormes. Grace was blessed in so many ways. She had such a devoted, loving husband, who served his country in the U.S. Air Force, which gave her the opportunity to travel and live abroad. Grace was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Springtown. She taught Sunday school, loved singing in the choir, and served many roles in the church, including overseas mission trips, such as Zimbabwe. She also had the privilege of visiting the Holy Land, Philippines and so much more. She attended Weatherford College and was on the Dean’s list. She was a very loving and caring lady. When she gave, she gave with all her heart and soul to anyone that needed her, out of love. Grace was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elijah “Dick” Arnold Dixon; her parents, Halford O. and Ruth M. (Ormes) Bent; sisters, Phyllis Remington and Gertrude Bumbera; brother, Ernest Bent; son-in-law, Andrew Brian Klemett and grandson, James Benjamin Dixon. She is survived by her children; Mary Ann McGee and husband Lewis, Robert James Dixon and wife Sharla, William Alexander Dixon and wife Alisa, Richard Michael Dixon and wife Lynn, Linda Klemett, William A. Dixon and wife Jessica, Amy Gwendolyn Durfey and husband Jack and Richard Daniel Dixon; a sister, Olive Sultiare; grandchildren; Marie, Kenneth, Benjamin, Sarah, Joel, Tamaray, Levi, Jack, Billy-Jo, John, Richard (Ricky), Shelby Lynn, Katie, Rachel, Eli, Dakota, Glenn, Faith, Alex, Abigail, Patricia, Holden, Daniel Kyle, Amberlyn, Kendall and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
