Ginger Kay Shaw, 78, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully in her home in Springtown Friday, May 21, 2021 after a brief battle with cancer. Service: 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 27, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Springtown. Visitation: 9:00 A.M. until service time at First Baptist Church of Springtown. Interment: Springtown Cemetery following the service. Kay was born December 27, 1942 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Millard F. Turner and Dorothy Jackson Turner. She met the love of her life, Dale Shaw, in the summer of 1960 in Springtown and they eloped to get married in Terral, Oklahoma on October 3, 1960. Kay worked many years for Springtown Independent School District as a Principal’s secretary. Her love in life was raising her three sons and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kay attended every school function and sports activity her family participated in. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, cooking, decorating for every holiday or special occasion, and preparing for family gatherings and class reunions. Kay and Dale loved each other immensely and were never apart during their 61 years of marriage. They loved traveling and took several cruises to places such as Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico and Central America. Kay was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Peggy Noe. Survivors: Husband of 61 years, Dale Shaw; sons, Gary Shaw and wife, Tammy, Kirt Shaw and wife, Terri and Quinn Shaw and wife, Teri; grandchildren, Kelsey, Cobin, Katie, Kristen, Kyle, Jake; and six great-grandchildren. Kay will be missed by all that knew her.
