Gene Parker, 70, passed away in Azle, Texas, on November 3, 2017.
Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Springtown Church of Christ.
Gene was born in Tucson, Arizona, March 21, 1947, to Lewis Knight Parker and Betty Jean Blackard. He served as Police, EMT and Fire in Trophy Club, Texas, and was a volunteer fireman for a short time in Precinct 1, Parker County. He was a man of God with strong values and integrity and loved his family at Springtown Church of Christ.
Gene’s laugh and sense of humor were bigger than life. He loved to smile and tease and was a caretaker by heart. He was a best friend, husband, father, step-father, Papa G, great-grandfather, sibling, uncle and nephew. His passing will leave a huge hole in our hearts.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Oleta Parker; children, Eric Parker (Donnell), Ruth Bushman (Andrew), Erin Whalen, Christie Solomon (Russell), Naomi Alfaro (Julio), James Parker (Darcy); children adopted by love- Stacy Dial (Byron), Aimee Simington (Jeff), Leigh-Ann Galpin (Clint); siblings, Chris Parker (Jeannine), Candace Kitagawa (Brian), Cherie Meier (Adam), Creed Westlake (Alicia); grandchildren, Michele Smiser (James), Kayla Mulanax, Austin Mulanax, Mikael-Ann Nieves (Vince), Chance Dial, Colby Dial, Conner Whalen, Kelsey Whalen, Taylor Johnson, Parker Johnson, Mason Solomon, Lincoln Solomon, Brooklyn Alfaro, and Avery Parker; three great-grandchildren; Aunt Diane; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
