Gary Dennis Jerome passed away peacefully on Saturday, 27 Jan 2018 in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 79. He was born on 14 April 1938 in Carlos, Minnesota to Marvelle Synova Jerome and Sigurd Edolph Trones. Memorial Service: 10 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 822 S. E. 22nd Ave., Mineral Wells, 76067. Gary served in the US Navy from 1955 to 1961. He married Kathleen Marie Birdsall in 1960, but later divorced. In 1967 Gary met the love of his life, Sharon Sue Hoyles. They have celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage together. They resided in Chula Vista, California, where Gary worked for the US Postal service as Postal Manager. In 2006 they moved to Weatherford Texas. Gary enjoyed his volunteer service as a citizen police officer, both in Chula Vista and Weatherford. He was a marathoner who carried the World Games torch in San Diego, representing the US Postal Service. He loved travelling and exploring the US by train. He had a special affection for animals, and was an Official Protector of the Gray Wolf. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; sons, Adam (Alice) of Provo, Utah, Aaron (Renae) of Woods Cross, Utah; daughters, April Jerome-Greer (Mike Greer) of Riverton, Utah, Bridgette Patterson (Keith) of Rexburg, Idaho, and Michelle Thiebaud (Jon) of Aledo, Texas; 20 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
