Freddie Whitfield Mask passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at the age of 89.
Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2026 with the Funeral Service to follow at 10:00 a.m. at Willow Park Baptist Church, 777 Crown Pointe Blvd., Willow Park. Interment will follow the service at Memory Gardens of the Valley, 5600 Mineral Wells Hwy., Weatherford.
Freddie was born on September 18, 1936, in Mineral Wells, Texas, to Ernie and Cecilia (McClure) Mask. On June 6, 1959, he married the love of his life, Barbara Mask, beginning a marriage built on love, faith, and family that spanned more than 67 years.
A proud veteran, Freddie honorably served his country in the United States Army from July 1959 until April 1962. Following his military service, he devoted his life to his family, his community, and the values that guided him each day.
Freddie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend to many. He was a cherished member of the Aledo community, where his warm smile, humble spirit, and willingness to lend a helping hand made him a familiar face. Anyone who stopped by Bearcat Shamrock in the mornings knew Freddie—or quickly became a friend after meeting him.
Attended Willow Park Baptist Church, Freddie lived a life rooted in faith, generosity, and service to others. He never met a stranger and had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcome.
Freddie was known throughout the Aledo community for his gift as a mechanic. Whether it was a car, pickup, tractor, or lawn mower, there wasn’t much he couldn’t fix. Friends, neighbors, and family often turned to him when something needed repair, and he was always willing to help. Even at 89 years old, Freddie could still be found in his shop with a wrench in hand, doing what he loved and serving others through his hard work and knowledge.
He also found his greatest joy outdoors. Whether he was hunting, fishing, or spending time with family at the lake house on Possum Kingdom Lake, those moments brought him immense happiness and created memories his family will treasure forever.
