Francis Bell Mahaffey

Francis Willburn Mahaffey passed away at her home on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the age of 89. 

There will be a private graveside service at Ash Creek Cemetery on Friday, April 19 at 2pm.

She was born in Benbrook, Texas on August 2, 1934 to RB “Dube” and Ruby Willburn. 

Francis is survived by her loving husband, of 14 years, John Mahaffey; and her two children, Dena Brown of Arlington and Joe Mahaffey and wife, Melissa, of Ft. Worth; as well as 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law, Frieda.

Francis worked many years in the school cafeteria for Lake Worth ISD. She loved children, animals and making things for others (cooking and sewing). Francis was a member of the Church of Christ and loved the Lord.
