Frances Marie Vick

July 6, 1942 — September 2, 2022

Frances Marie Vick (Nanny) Nanny went to be with Jesus on Friday, September 2, 2022. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 7th @ 2:00pm at the Poolville Cemetery 230 North Church Street, Poolville, Tx 76487 We were all so blessed on July 6th, 1942 when "Nanny" came into this world. Every single life she touched...she blessed. Born to Grady and Ruby Blackmon "behind the mountain", in Agnes,Tx. Nanny was born at home, the oldest of 12 children (6 brothers & 5 sisters) it's no wonder why she had such a strong and amazing caregivers spirit. Nanny had never met a stranger and was always willing to welcome anyone and everyone with open arms and an open heart. She had a motherly spirit that made everyone who ever met her instantly fall in love. If you were blessed enough to know her, you will never forget her. Nanny Loved God and her family more than anything in this world. Nanny was also a lover of the outdoors, she loved her plants and flowers, yellow roses were her favorite...she would spend hours "piddlin" in her yard and gardens. Nanny also loved telling stories and would've talked your ear off if you'd'a let her. Nanny spent her entire life "raisin' kids", from all of her brothers and sisters, to her own children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. As well as a few nieces, nephews and a few strangers along the way. Preceded in death by; Mother, Ruby Blackmon; Father, Grady Blackmon; First husband, Bobby Mercer; Daughter, Deborah Frances Mercer; Second husband, Benny Stewart; Son, Benny Eugene Stewart Junior and widowed by third husband, Sam Vick. Babies Deborah and little Benny went to be with Jesus entirely too soon. And for all the agony it caused Nanny on earth, it gives those of us she left behind some peace knowing that they have now been reunited in heaven. Nanny was veiled in a selflessness and strength that few ever witness, much less possess. Glory be to God, she has passed that strength onto all of those she had to leave behind. Survivors include: Daughters and sons-in-law, Tanya & Michael McClaren & Tiffany & Ryan Clarke Grandchildren: Tamera Stonemetz, Cory & Misti Stonemetz & Tori and David Kennedy Great grandchildren: Kylie Marie, Zaidyn Wayne, Patience Kay-Lee, Emerlynn Dawn, Mason Lee Allen & Finan Ray Nanny will forever be in our hearts, and always be with us, for her strength and spirit will get her loved ones through this life, and onto the next, where we will all meet again someday. And oh what a glorious day that will be...
