Frances (Frankie) Taylor was born March 7, 1952, to Charles and Julia Belcha in Pawnee City, NE. She grew up on the family farm.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 9:00 A.M., Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Hope Lutheran Church, 4795 E Highway 199, Springtown, Texas 76082.
In 1967 her father was killed in a tractor accident. Frankie and her mother moved to Osmond, NE to live near her oldest brother, Donald. She finished high school at Osmond High School in 1970. Afterward she attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln studying nursing. After college she went to work driving dump trucks, then transitioned to driving semi-trucks over the road for several years, eventually meeting Monte Taylor on the job. They relocated to the Fort Worth, Texas area and got married on June 5, 1982, in Weatherford, Texas
She eventually went to work as a construction laboratory materials testing technician. She ended up retiring in that field after 40 years.
In 1991 they had their daughter, Linnea. They lived on 7 acres west of Springtown, Texas. Sadly in 2011 Monte passed away from Lung Cancer.
In 2012 Frankie met Sam Rutherford, a BNSF train dispatcher, and on April 4, 2015, they got married and lived in Azle, Texas.
Frankie loved plants, gardening and collecting Gnomes. She also loved spending time with Linnea and her husband, Geoffrey and granddaughter, Wrenley.
She unfortunately suffered a severe stroke on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, which proved to be fatal, and she passed away on Friday morning July 31, 2026, at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.
She will be greatly missed by all her family, friends and people who knew her.
Instead of flowers she wanted donations made to Tarrant Area Food Bank, 2600 Cullen street, Fort Worth, Texas 76107.
Frankie is survived by her husband, Stan Rutherford of Azle; daughter, Linnea Taylor -Sowders of Springtown; brother, David Blecha of Waterloo, IA; and granddaughter, Wrenley Sowders; and numerous nieces and nephews
