Graveside Service: 11 a.m., Thursday, January 4. 2024 at Aurora Cemetery, Aurora, Texas Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at White’s Funeral Home Chapel in Springtown. Evelyn and Red Teal married young and spent a long and wonderful adventure together until his death in 2010. She was the co-owner of White Star Laundry until her retirement. When Evelyn and Red moved to Springtown in 1977, they started living the country life and not long later they owned, trained, and raced thoroughbred horses. After having a serious, life changing stroke in 2012, she worked hard to regain things that most people take for granted. She did so with hard work and determination. She blessed so many people with her loving, caring and compassionate ways and her strength to fight. She inspired everyone she knew to be strong and to work hard to overcome obstacles. Unfortunately, the stroke left her with vascular dementia that was a slow and deteriorating disease. Through the help of her grandson, Jake Moore, and her great-granddaughter, Neviah, who lived with her and cared for her daily she overcame many obstacles with this disease and her lingering effects from the stroke, making her able to live at the home she loved up to her last days. God knew she was tired and ready to see her beloved husband and the loved ones that she so treasured and missed. We were all blessed to know her but she is now in heaven with the ones who have patiently waited to see her. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, J.L.
