Evelyn Slayton

Evelyn Slayton, 94, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018.Service: 3 p.m. Tuesday at Aledo Brown Cemetery in Aledo.Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations to ALS Association, http://www.alsa.org/donate/, or a charity of your choice.Evelyn was born November 14, 1923 in Pulaski, Tennessee. She married the love of her life, Hilliard Slayton, in October of 1945 and together they raised a family. They had 55 happy years together until his passing on February 14, 2000.  She was an active member of the Benbrook YMCA and participated in their “SilverSneakers” program. She was also a dedicated member of her church, Las Vegas Trail Church of Christ.Evelyn was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Hilliard Slayton; son, Ronald Lee Slayton; and daughter, Patricia Ann Coleman.Survivors: daughter, Debbie Williams and husband, Jerry; 9 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
