Respects may be expressed from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m Sunday, December 9, 2018 and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2018 at White’s Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford, 76086. Private Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Park, Fort Worth. Evelyn was born in Roby, Texas, May 26, 1928, to Isaac West and Mae (Morgan) West. She married Clarence Fred Musgrave the third day of February, 1947. The story-book marriage resulted from a chance encounter on the streets of Lubbock, when Evelyn bumped into the dashing hero fighter pilot of WWII, who was awaiting discharge from the Army Air Corps. They spent many happy years together until Fred’s passing in 1982. When Fred continued civilian life as a CPA, Evelyn was active in assisting the development of one of the first computerized accounting offices in Fort Worth. She was very active in the CPA Wives Club in Fort Worth. When they purchased a small ranch near Weatherford for relaxing from the office pressures, she found another love, working with the Extension Homemakers in that area. From the time she graduated from Roby High School in 1945 she was always productively active for the family and community. Her hobbies were cooking, sewing, gardening, painting pictures, decorating, and shopping. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, on May 30, 1982; and her daughter, Lisa Musgrave. Evelyn is survived by two granddaughters, Laura MacLeod and Morgan MacLeod and their father, Charles MacLeod, of Weatherford; three great-grandchildren, Logan, James, and Evie, of Weatherford; her sister, Fern Arendell and husband, Russ, of Lubbock; and her brother, Gary West and wife, Tempe, of Roby.
