Elizabeth “Betty” Murphy Young Elizabeth “Betty” Young lost her battle with cancer Monday, October 25, 2021 in her home surrounded by loved ones. 

Mass of Christian Burial: 10 a.m. Friday, November 5, 2021 at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Weatherford.

 Interment: 2 p.m. Friday at Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington. 

Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. Thursday, November 4, 2021 at White’s Funeral Home, Weatherford.

 Betty was born April 1, 1937 in Hartford, Connecticut to Margaret Murphy. Over the decades, Betty traveled the world with the love of her life John Young. Together and inseparable, they touched all 7 continents on more than 70 cruises. Betty rejoins John in the Kingdom of Heaven, who was taken 6 years prior.

Betty was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Murphy Rogers, sister, Lucille Wheeler; father of her children, Thomas McWilliam, son, Michael McWilliam; and the love of her life, John Young. 

Betty is survived by her children, Theresa Kuhn, Margaret LaRue, Heidi Pearce, Jeremy Sean McWilliam and his spouse, Kathleen; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren
