Douglas Alan Bender

Douglas Bender, 60, of Azle, was called home to be with Jesus on May 10, 2021. Celebration of Life:11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 13, 2021 New Hope Baptist Church, 782 New Hope Road, Boyd, TX 76023. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and a great friend to many. He was a champion at racquet ball and loved motocross. He was an avid shooter and loved guns. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors with his grandson, the light of his life. He was a child of God and loved spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Hunter Bender; and his step-father, Robert Coles. Survived by wife, Kathy; son, Robert C. Bender; son-in love, David Page, step daughter, Kassy Howell; grandson, Gavin Page; mother, Sinee Coles; step-mother, Mary Bender; brothers, Robert (Katherine) Bender, Sean (Lisa) Bender; sister, Candace (Doug) Bender, father-in-law, Billy (Teresa) Heaton; sisters, & brothers-in-law, Vicki (Matt) Blessing, Becky (Tony B.)
