Dorothy Bernice Pool

Dorothy Bernice Pool, 87, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022. Graveside Service: 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Saginaw Cemetery. Visitation: 10:00 A.M. to Noon Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at White’s Funeral Home, Azle. Dorothy was born in Douglass, Texas, October 5, 1934 to Arthur and Velma Looney Perkins. She married the love of her life, Eulis Ray Pool in Rusk Texas in 1953. She was a homemaker until her children were old enough to go to school. Dorothy was a charter member of the Blue Mound Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Dorothy retired from Eagle Mountain, Saginaw ISD after 20 years of service. She also served as a fire dispatcher for more than ten years while her husband was fire chief at Blue Mound. Dorothy had lived in and around the Parker County area since 1985. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Velma Perkins; husband, Eulis Ray Pool; sisters, Reba Nell Perkins, and Shirley Jernagan; brothers, Lewis Perkins, Richard Perkins, Homer Perkins, Jim Perkins, and an infant brother. Survivors: Sons, Larry Pool and wife, Pam; Alvin Pool and wife, Terry; grandchildren, Christina Pool, Stephen Pool and Michael Paul Haltom; sister, Loretta Anthony; brothers, Claude Perkins and wife, Shirley, Pete Perkins and wife, Debra, and Mitchell Perkins and wife, Jo; great-grandchild, Evan Garza; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
