She was born February 1, 1937, to Roy Lee and Flossie Belle (Young) Pearson, and lived on the Pearson family farm in Paradise most of her life, graduating from Springtown High School in 1955. She was deeply rooted in her faith in God and served him by loving others. Darlene was incredibly outgoing and found so much joy in making others feel loved. She was also an incredible mother and “Meme” to her family, constantly cooking and loving. Everyone was welcome at her house and there was “always room for one more.” She had the perfect job for her personality, serving as the church secretary and always greeted with a smile at Outreach of Love and Cornerstone Community Church, saying “we’ve been waiting on you to get here!” Darlene served as an inspiration to many due to her amazing personality, positivity, and her constant desire to love and serve others. She will be missed dearly, but she is dancing in heaven now. She was preceded in death, by her parents, Roy and Belle Pearson; sister, Beverly Havner; and brother, Hershel Pearson. Survivors include her son, James Alvis and wife, Caren, of Springtown, Dwayne Alvis and wife, Tammy, of Springtown, and Gaylon and Angela Alvis of Paradise.
