Dorothy Faye Mitchell

Dorothy Faye (Dean) Mitchell, 101, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023 in Willow Park. Visitation: 2-4 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2023 at White’s Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford, Texas 76086. Graveside Service: 11 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2023 at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, with Rev. Dan Simmons officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made, in Dorothy’s name, to the Central Christian Church Building Fund. Dorothy was born February 20, 1922 in Lamesa, daughter of Lemuel Isiah and Ida Ione (Glazner) Dean. She met the love of her life, T.C. Mitchell and they were married on April 15, 1939. They would go on to spend 78 happy years together until his passing in 2017. Dorothy worked for many years as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She was a member of the American Contract Bridge League and the Medical Assistance Society. For many years, she was an active member of Central Christian Church in Weatherford. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, T.C. Mitchell; daughter, Berinda Webb; and eight brothers and sisters. Survivors include her son, Bill Mitchell and wife, Jill; grandchildren, Dawn Shannon, Sandi Mitchell, Misty Germaine and husband, Jack, Dana Barnes, and Dean Webb; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.
