Dorothy Lee Fulfer

December 11, 1932 — July 2, 2022

Dorothy Lee Fulfer, 89, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022 at her home in Weatherford, Texas. Visitation: 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2022 in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Friday in White's Chapel of Memories. Interment: Resthaven Memorial Park, Lubbock. Dorothy was born December 11, 1932 to Robert “Shorty” and Josie Lee Bearden near Anson, Texas. In 1948, she married the love of her life, Elwyn Fulfer, in Matador, Texas. They raised their family in Lubbock, Texas where they were residents for 47 years, then retired in Weatherford in 1997 to be close to family. Dorothy owned and operated “Dorothy’s Draperies” for over two decades where she showcased her talents as a seamstress. But most important to Dorothy was her work for the Lord. Dorothy was a former member of Highland Baptist Church in Lubbock, where she faithfully served as a women’s Sunday School teacher for over 30 years. She then became a member First Baptist Church of Weatherford in 1997, where she continued to teach until 2020. She loved nothing more than studying the word of God and sharing it with others. Dorothy’s other passion in life was her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, exceptional grandmother, and greatest prayer warrior for all. She will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Elwyn. Survivors include son, Michael Fulfer and wife, Cecile, of Weatherford; daughter, Sherri Harvey and husband, Richard, of Burleson; four grandchildren, Amanda Villanueva and husband, Michael, of Weatherford, Matthew Rampy and wife, Amy, of Austin, Holly Baird and husband, John, of Las Colinas, and Cameron Fulfer and wife, Brenna, of Weatherford; five great-grandchildren, Taylor and Chelcie Wallace, and Eli of Weatherford, Isabel and Griffin Rampy of Austin; three great great-grandchildren, Dixie, Dawson and Waylon; and her sister, Jean Shepard of Sonora.
