Dorothy Elaine Benefiel, 92, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026 in Springtown, Texas.
Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 19, 2026 in Springtown Cemetery in Springtown, Texas.
Dorothy was born September 30, 1933 in Fort Worth, Texas to Albert B. Batchelor and Pearl (Hayslip) Batchelor.
She was a devoted wife, now reunited with the love of her life, after 34 years apart. Their love was enduring, unwavering, and a beautiful example to all who knew them. We find comfort in knowing they are together again.
Dorothy was a wonderful mother, the heart of our family, and the one who held us all together with her strength, grace, and unconditional love. Her life was defined by selflessness, kindness, and a quiet resilience that touched everyone around her. She gave endlessly of herself, always putting others first, and created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and love.
To her children, she was everything — a guide, a protector, and a constant source of comfort and wisdom. Her legacy lives on in each of us, in the values she instilled and the love she so freely gave.
She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her caring heart, and the way she made everyone feel seen and loved. Though our hearts are broken, we are forever grateful for the 93 years we were blessed to have with her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Fred James Benefiel, Jr.
Dorothy is survived by her 5 children, Mike Benefiel, Patti Bush, Joey Benefiel, Tim Benefilel, and Melissa Dutton; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, Bill Batchelor.
