Doris Hall Rainwater, 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 18, 2025.
Viewing to be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at White’s Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.
Services for Doris will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at White’s Funeral Home, Weatherford.
Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley, 5600 Mineral Wells Highway, Weatherford.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in memory of Doris to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Doris was born on December 6, 1936, to Clifton and Maude Hall in Decatur, Texas. She was raised in Parker County and graduated from Weatherford High School. Doris married Hal Hayter, moved to South Texas, and raised three children in Medina County, Texas.
Doris loved Parker County and moved back in 1977, where she spent the remaining years of her life. She was a member of Lakeshore Baptist Church. Doris sang in the Senior Choir, and enjoyed participating in the coloring ministry at Holland Lake Nursing Home.
Doris had a stroke in 2023 and never fully regained her independence.
She is preceded in death by her son, Patrick Hulen Hayter; her parents; and her brothers, C.H. and William Hall.
Doris is survived by her husband, Simon Rainwater; her sister, Mary Hall Hill; her children, Michael Hayter, and Judy Lyon; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephew.
