Graveside Service: 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2021 in Memory Gardens of the Valley, 5600 Mineral Wells Hwy., Weatherford, 76088. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Don's name to Meals on Wheels in Weatherford. Donald was born September 12, 1927 in Shannon, son of William Reuben and Grace Samantha Jackson Whitsitt. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Don had a love of fishing with his grandson, Dusty and traveling in his motorhome with his wife, Mary. Don was a member of New Faith Baptist Church in Annetta. He was preceded in death by brother, Dale; and his parents. Survivors: include his wife of 70 years, Mary Whitsitt; sister, Jerrye Faltyn and husband, Len of Jacksboro; daughter, Suzie Hall and husband, Bill of Weatherford; grandson, Dusty Brown and wife, Sarah of Peaster; great-grandchildren, Katie and Daniel Brown, they always brought a smile to his face.
