Donald Kenneth Watson

Donald K. Watson, 91, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023 in Weatherford. Graveside Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Santo North Cemetery, FM 4, Santo. Donald was born February 9, 1932 in Santo, Texas, to James H. and Lorene (Chesnut) Watson. Upon graduation from Millsap High School, he attended North Texas State College, receiving a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. Donald served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He dedicated 30 years to the education of children, serving public schools as a teacher and principal. Donald married Elynor McElroy on June 20, 1953. They were married for 60 years, until her passing on September 21, 2013. They enjoyed traveling, and his passion was gardening. Donald is survived by his son, Kenneth Watson; his nephews, Reid and Don, and his niece, Cindy, along with their children.
