Dianna went on to earn her Associates Degree from Weatherford College in 1971. She continued her education by earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology in 1974 and her Master’s Degree in Social Work in 1976 from Texas Woman’s University. Afterwards she earned her degrees from Texas Woman’s University and attended Chris Cole Rehabilitation for the Blind in Austin, to learn skills such as braille and walking with a cane. Dianna worked for the Texas Commission for the Blind and the Dallas Lighthouse for the Blind as a Rehabilitation Teacher. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church. Her family and God were the center of her life. Dianna was a Baylor fan, her husband's alma mater. She enjoyed listening to sports radio, drinking iced diet cokes, and her favorite activity was playing with her grand and great-grandchildren. Dianna was known for her determination and devotion to the service of others. Over the years, Dianna has touched many lives, and she will be missed by all who knew her. Dianna is preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Helen Shahan; brothers, Anthony and Stephen Shahan; and husband, Farris R.
