A funeral service will be held on May 31, 2025, at 1:00 PM at 101 NE 4th Ave, Mineral Wells, TX, followed by a burial at Family Cemetery in Perrin, TX, beginning at 2:00 PM.
Debbie Jean Houchin, born on September 20, 1970, in Mineral Wells, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on May 20, 2025. She was known for her warmth, cheerfulness, and a personality that could light up any room. Debbie was a happy-go-lucky individual who wore her heart on her sleeve, leaving a positive mark on everyone she met.
Debbie dedicated many years of her life to her job at Bonnie & Clyde's, where she cherished working closely with her friends Terri and Dan. Her work was not just a job for her; it was a significant part of her life where she formed lasting friendships.
Debbie attended Perrin High School, where she enjoyed being part of the drill team. Her love for life extended beyond her work and education. She was passionate about a variety of hobbies, including watching serial criminal TV shows, cheering for her beloved Cowboys, or Chiefs more recently, listening to a wide range of music from church hymns to Prince, making puzzles, and gardening.
The happiest moments in Debbie’s life were spent with her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and love. They changed her whole world and became a source of pride and happiness in her life. She always looked forward to the possibility of welcoming more grandchildren to spoil and enjoy.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Dallas Houchin; her father, Harold Dunnigan and his wife, Debbie Dunnigan; her mother, Sarah Ann Weeks; children, Tabitha Taylor and her fiancé Chance Mershon, Clifford Frank Gullion III, and Richard Gullion and his wife Katt Bridges; her grandchildren, Michael Taylor, Skylar Taylor, Raven Gullion, Wynter Gullion, and Xander Gullion; ; her siblings, Railea Lynn Dunnigan-Sandoval, Kayan Marie Dunnigan, and James Dunnigan.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Kay Curtis.
Debbie will be deeply missed by all who knew her and treasured the joy and love she brought into their lives.
