Darryl William Balas

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Darryl William Balas of Whitt, Texas, who died at the age of 87 on Friday, October 18th, 2024. 

The funeral will be a private ceremony in the presence of close family. 

Darryl was born in Elyria, Ohio on August 21st, 1937 to Ernie Balas and Jane Barnes Balas. He was raised with his five siblings, Dale Balas, Dave Balas, Donna Balas Balbierer, Darla Perry, and Dawn Herwig.

Darryl worked for General Electric for 34 years. He retired to live out his life bird hunting, raising cattle, and enjoying his family. 

He was preceded in death my both of his parents; his brother, Dale Balas; and his son, Darryl William Balas, Jr.

Darryl is survived by loving wife of 69 years, Mary Ann Balas; children, Deann Bradley, and Darin Balas; grandchildren, Addison Bradley, and Trent and Ally Tatom; great-granddaughters, Paige and Emily Bradley, and Ada Jane Tatom.
