Dan (Daniel) Alexis Myers passed away unexpectedly in his home, on October 15, 2022, at the age of 52 in Oakwood, Texas. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 24th 2022 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at White's Funeral Home in Azle. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 24th 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Jaybird Cemetery, 158 Union St, Springtown, TX 76082. Dan was born in Utah on July 23, 1970, to Daniel Oscar Myers and Paulett Thurston Myers. Following the completion of high school, he enlisted in the Navy where he served our country for over 13 years. He married Marie Brown in 2001 and blended their families into one with five children. Through their marriage, Dan also gained another dad and mom: Raymond Brown and Roselee Brown. Their love and service left a lasting effect on Dan of being accepted and genuinely belonging in their family. Texas became their home where Dan spent the rest of his career working in the oil industry. He enjoyed working with his hands and emulated his core value of having good work ethic. Liberty Oilfield Services was his home away from home. He would spend a week at a time with the Browning Orange Rotation crew. During his weeks away from the man camp, Dan would spend time sharing stories of his work adventures, always speaking fondly of his “kids” and the pride and joy he felt working beside them. Dan loved his family and worked hard to support them. He truly enjoyed being a grandfather and the happiness the children brought him. His greatest love was his wife, Marie, and the 21 years they spent together, never losing hope on their future together. Dan will be sorely missed by his family and many friends. While he has passed through the veil of mortality, continued hope and faith will remain in our hearts that we will see him again. He was predeceased by: his sister, Amy Lou Myers Wood (Sean); his daughter, Melanie Long; and his father-in-law, Raymond Brown (Roselee). He is survived by: his parents, Daniel O. Myers and Paulett Thurston Myers; his wife, Marie Myers; his sons, Justin Myers and Chris Caldwell; his daughters, Brittney Worden (Kyle) and Brandi Hall; his mother-in-law, Roselee Brown; his sisters, Wendy Slama (Mike), Heather Light (Eric), and Michelle Myers; 9 grandchildren; and 1 great-grand child.
