He graduated from Haverhill High School and Haverhill Trade School in 1957. After graduation, Daniel enlisted in the United States Air Force. His military career spanned 30 years in Medical Administration. After retirement he worked for the Harris Health organization. Upon leaving Harris, he joined the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department, working under Dee Anderson, and working for Chief Bob Knowles. Daniel enjoyed his weekly rounds of golf across the Metroplex, with his regular golf buddies. He was an extremely generous and compassionate man, who never met a stranger, and made it a point to put a smile on everyone’s face. He was always in attendance at his grandchildren and great grandchildren’s school and extra-curricular activities. Dan also enjoyed researching recipes and cooking for his beloved wife and family members. The family would chuckle about being sure to return Dan’s food storage bowls, or they might not get a return dish! Dan and Mary also enjoyed touring the local area restaurants and sharing their favorite hotspots with all! They always looked forward to their Sunday lunches with Ermon and Sherry Kilgo. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents and sister.
