Curtis Wayne Patrick

Curtis Wayne Patrick, 84, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed into the arms of His Savior, on July 21, 2026.

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 8, 2026 at White's Funeral Home Chapel in Springtown, Texas.

He was born December 30, 1941 in Columbus, Mississippi to Curtis Patrick and Annie Laura (Long) Patrick.  Curtis lived in multiple states, because his father was in the U.S. Army, including Japan and Alaska.  He was also a member of the U.S. Navy, stationed  in San Diego, California.  He served his country honorably, receiving a Good Conduct Medal and after active duty participated in the Naval Reserves.  He attended Dallas Baptist University in Dallas, Texas,  and received a Business Degree and became a Mechanical Illustrator for Bell Helicopter, and later had a career as a Real Estate Broker.

He married Ramona  (Keefer) Patrick on November 10, 1978 in Boyd, Texas and they were inseparable for 47 years, both of them enjoying art and classical music selections. The two of them raised a close, loving family together.

Curtis was a member of Azle Christian Church and a member of a Wood Carving group, being an accomplished artist in wood carving and oils.  He also made many of the wooden frames that surround his paintings and carvings.  He painted many beautiful scenes and portraits, including  one of their daughter, Summer. He also loved gardening, his garden would produce an abundance of vegetables, which he generously shared with family and friends.  The family has many stories to share about Curtis, his kindness, his talents and his ability to have a sense of humor even in difficult situations.  He gave them many blessed and happy memories, spending time with them and his little dog, Ginger,  whose favorite place was Curtis' lap.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Curtis is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Ramona; his daughters, Summer Mathis and husband Mark and Kelly Padgett and husband Will; and grandchildren, Taylor Ervin, Brock Mathis, Carli Mathis, Jordan Padgett, and Wade Padgett.

He was loved and will be remembered and missed by all the family and friends who knew him and loved him.

Because of Curtis' love of art and wanting to see other artists excel at their craft, in lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Springtown High School Art Department, Springtown, Texas.
