Beloved family member and friend, Rebecca Earline “Kris” Beasley, passed away, October 15, 2024, following a lengthy illness.
Kris was born July 25,1941 in Sherman Texas to Earl Alfred Clayton and Minnie Mae Smith Clayton. She graduated from high school in 1958, at the age of 16, and graduated college in 1961, at the age of 21, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She received her master's degree in education from East Texas State University in 1968. She began her teaching career in Graford Texas then moved into The Mineral Wells Independent School District where she taught for a combined total of approximately 62 years. She had a passion for teaching, but her heart was with her students that were dyslexic. She taught countless number of children how to read. She truly loved life, spending time with family, friends and her church family. She had an amazing ability to reach people in a deep and positive way which earned her the respect from all those that had the pleasure of knowing her. Her illness was a definite journey of her faith. Any and every one she came in contact, she asked the question,” Do you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior”? She gave her testimony to many and received several testimonies in return.
