Chockie Hightower

Chockie Lee Hightower Sr. passed away on November 18th, 2020. Visitation is Tuesday November 24th from 6-8 pm at Whites Funeral Home in Springtown. Graveside services will be at 11am at Markley Cemetery, in Markley, Texas. Chockie was born October 6, 1945 to Carl and Jasil Hightower. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary, daughter Me’Chelle Rene’, and grandson Phillip Benavides. Chockie was a son, brother, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He had 10 children, 27 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren. He became a Mason in 2001, and was a life time member in Joplin and Springtown Texas. He is survived by his children Chockie Lee Hightower II and wife Theresa, Christopher Hightower and wife Melisa, Clinton Hightower and wife Misty, Candi Hightower Benavides and husband David, Brian Harden and husband Johnny, Timothy Yarborough and wife Pam, Elaine Proffitt Hunt, Shellie Profitt Dacy and husband Waylon, Stacey Proffitt Telgren and husband John, and Robert Proffitt
