Charles Daniel Cloy

Charles Daniel Cloy (Danny) was born in Beaumont, Texas on April 15, 1938 to Frank and Mary Cloy. He entered into Heaven on August 16, 2026. 

Danny was the youngest of 3 boys and the first Cloy to be born in Texas. His life was defined by his love for family, passion for working. and his kindness to others. He lived by the Golden Rule and loved to see joy in the faces of those he loved. He was an all-state basketball player for South Park High School in Beaumont his senior year and served honorably in the US Air Force after high school graduation. He loved traveling the United States and the world for his profession as a welder/member of Pipeliners Local Union 798. Danny had a remarkable ability to recall names and locations of the many people he worked with along with his great stories of the pipeliner lifestyle. He married Barbara June Stults on September 6, 1979 and they enjoyed 44 years of marriage before her passing in 2023. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary; brothers, Stein and Jon Dick Cloy; great-grandson, Ricky Standifer: granddaughter Natalie Aragon; daughter, Julia Cloy; and his first wife, Martha Kennedy. 

Danny is survived by his children, Kellie and husband, Michael Aragon of Sachse, Michael and wife, Dana Cloy of Brownwood, Richard “Po” Cloy of Burnet; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. 

The family wishes to acknowledge with sincere gratitude the staff of Holland Lake Nursing Home and HopeStone Hospice, for the loving care he received in the closing chapters of his life. 

Visitation/Celebration of Life: 11:30 to 1:30 PM, Saturday, August 29, 2026  at White’s Funeral Home, Weatherford.

Graveside Service: 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 29, 2026 at East Greenwood Cemetery.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family asked for donations to be made to either a charity of your choice or Pipeliners local union 798 Voluntary Fund, PO Box 470798, Tulsa, OK.
