Carter Leon Wyatt, 80, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022 in Azle. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Ash Creek Cemetery, 310 S. Stewart St., Azle, Chaplain Terry Boggs officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita Support, Inc. https://www.amcsupport.org/ Carter Leon Wyatt was born September 27, 1941 in Oklahoma City, OK to Alden and Manita Wyatt. He was an only child and recalled fondly his childhood friends and pets, road trips in his car and going to buy moonshine. Carter went to college at Oklahoma City University where he earned his B.A. He received his master’s degree in physics from Wichita State University. His early professional career was spent at Boeing, where he developed their missile simulator that was designed to protect B-52 bombers from missile attacks. Later he worked at Lockheed Martin and Bell Helicopter where he coordinated the development of new avionics business. Carter transitioned later into a career with Mealtime Partners, a company he started with his wife, which allowed them to do something good in the world. Carter was the engineering brains behind the operation and helped design, develop and build assisted dining devices. He enjoyed tennis, walking, reading, music, eating good food and watching movies. Carter would meticulously study anything that interested him and always wanted to discuss new concepts and topics with others. He is preceded in death by daughter, Becky. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Catherine Wyatt; son, Tim Wyatt (Wichita, KS); daughter, Krista (Greeley, CO); step-daughter, Emma Richmond and husband, Chris (Wichita, KS); step-son and wife, John and Anne Lewis-Smith (Manhattan, KS); grandchildren, Lily, Morgan, Jonny and Caitlyn; and great-grandchildren, Ellie, Ike and Jake.
