Carroll Wayne Cox, 79, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 at a local care center.Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Indian Creek Baptist Church, 104 Indian Creek Road, Mineral Wells, Texas 76067.Interment: Indian Creek Cemetery, Mineral Wells.Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at White's Funeral Home, 101 N. E. 4th Avenue, Mineral Wells, Texas 76067.Carroll was born May 26, 1938 in Palo Pinto County, son of John and Naomi Harrington Cox. He met and married Bobbie Masterson and they spent 60 happy years together raising their family. Carroll was a wonderful family man. He worked as a helicopter mechanic for Southern Airways for 17 years. Carroll also worked as a corrosion tech with South West Gas Company until retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially loved hunting and fishing. Carroll was a lifelong rancher and he loved his cows. He was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church.Carroll was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Cox; twin daughters, Carla Gay Cox and Darla Kay Cox; and daughter-in-law, Linda Cox.Survivors: Wife, Bobbie Cox; sons, Bobby Cox and wife, Kay, and Billy Cox; brother, Weldon Cox; sister, Shirley Mallory; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; several nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.
