Born on November 25, 1949, in Merkel, Texas, Calvin was a true Texan at heart. He served his country with pride in the United States Army, assigned to the 101st Division during the Vietnam campaign. Following his honorable discharge in 1975, he carried the discipline and honor he learned in the service throughout the rest of his life. Calvin’s professional journey began in the oil business as a draftsman, where he dedicated over twenty years to companies such as Union Texas, Mesa Petroleum, and Arco. Later, he transitioned to the tech industry and eventually retired from Intel as a Manufacturing Technician. His career took him to interesting places, including Arizona and Ireland, but he was always thankful to return to his roots. In 2021, he moved back to Texas to settle in Springtown, ensuring he was close to what mattered most: his children and grandchildren.

Beyond his career, Calvin was deeply committed to the Boy Scouts. Having been a Scout himself, he gave back as an adult leader for Troop 175 and served as a District Commissioner with the Buffalo Trails Council. In his leisure time, he was a man of many passions. He enjoyed reading, solving puzzles, hiking, and photography. He held a special fascination for history and military aircraft, and he cherished the time spent watching football with his son and grandson. He loved camping and simply being outdoors.

In 1992, Calvin married the love of his life, Denise. Together they built a life defined by commitment and consistency. He was a quiet man, but if you really knew him, you knew he had a funny side. He loved his dad jokes, the kind that made you shake your head and say “Really?” but you would still laugh anyway. That was Calvin. He didn’t need to be loud to be funny; he just needed the right timing. He was also hardworking and believed if something was worth doing, it was worth doing right. And yes, that absolutely included cleaning. There  was a right way to clean, and then there was the way you did it again, because he was going to inspect it.

Above all, he was an amazing father, husband, and friend. He showed up, and he stayed. His choices and presence shaped the lives of many, perhaps far more than he ever knew. Because of the way he loved, he taught others through his exampl, how it feels to be accepted, and he showed others how to love. He showed them how to be good parents. He showed them that being a parent isn’t about biology; it is about commitment. It is about consistency. It is about choosing your family every single day.

Calvin is survived by his beloved wife, Denise Keith; his sons, Bryan Keith (Stacey) and Sidney Keith (Rachel); and his daughter, Dawn Price (Clint). He loved his children deeply, and through them, he was blessed with 17 grandchildren and 4 (plus one on the way) great- grandchildren, who he loved more than words could express.

A man of Christian faith, Calvin lived by principles of integrity and compassion. As Psalm 112:1-2 proclaims, "Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who delights greatly in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed."

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Calvin’s life on March 7th, 2026. A reception will follow immediately after the services at the Keith's family home.
