Bridgett Jean Stevens, 68, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. Service: 10 a.m. Friday, August 6, 2021 at Lighthouse Church, Azle Interment: Newsom Cemetery Bridgett was born on October 14, 1952, in Fort Worth to Estel Curtis (Jiggs) and Bonnie Denton Shastid. She attended Azle High School and married Dwight Stevens on May 30, 1968. Bridgett retired from the Federal Aviation Administration after almost 25 years of service. She loved antiquing, decorating and restoring anything and everything. Bridgett had countless lifetime friends and was a loving wife, a wonderful mother and a great Nana to Shelby, Natalie and Bryce. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jiggs and Bonnie Shastid; and son-in-law, Terry Wasek. Bridgett is survived by her husband of 53 years, Dwight; daughters, Stephanie Stevens Wasek and Serena Stevens Burson and husband, Shawn; son, Curt Stevens; grandchildren, Shelby, Natalie and Bryce, all of Azle; sister, Charo Shastid of Port Orange, FL; special cousin, Cassie Disch of Shernan, TX; and numerous family members and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Pallbearers: Larry Mackey, Kevin Rogers, Matt Haynes, Bill Disch, Steve Clemmons and H.C. Wasek.
