Brenda Jeane Green February 19, 1946 – August 11, 2023 Celebration of Life: 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2023 in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Per Nana’s request, please only wear bright colors to her celebration of life. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to St. Jude. On August 11, 2023 Brenda left this worldly plane to join a host of friends and family waiting for her in Paradise. She was born in Denton, Texas to James Enoch West and Norma Jean Schrum Lipsey. Brenda was lovingly called “Nana” by almost everyone who knew her. She enjoyed being surrounded by family, sitting on her covered patio watching the rain and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and play. During her life, she was honored to be the youngest member of the 20th Century Women’s Club. She worked as a bookkeeper for Peach Tree Place, Keeneland Nursing Home, and Weatherford Title. Nana is preceded in death by both of her parents; her brother, James Wayne Lipsey; grandson, Austin Allen Barnett; and daughter of the heart, Missy Gaines. She is survived by her husband, Victor Lee Green; her three children, Brandy Barnett Richards, Bart Barnett, and Blue Barnett (Maegan); sister, Paula Lipsey; brother, Bo West (Kelly); sister, Truda Jacobs; and son of the heart, Shannon Gaines. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ali Richards (Becca), Ethan Richards, Christopher Barnett (Canaan), Bart Barnett, Jr., Colton Barnett, Bella Barnett, Shelbi Barnett (Eric), and granddaughter of the heart, Britany Wilson (Hayden); great-grandchildren, Payton, Hayden, Kylee, Amelia, Emma, Remington, and Oliver; as well as a village of friends and chosen family.
