Bobby Farrell Wallis was born February 20, 1937, the youngest of 12 children born to Mary Ellen Underwood and Duff Herbert Wallis in the Harmony Community.  His father died one month before his birth.  Being the youngest he had all his siblings, nieces, nephews, and many older than he, to give him so much attention, but his mother raised him with strict standards.  Bobby had just celebrated his 87th birthday.

Bobby graduated from Weatherford High School in 1956.  After his graduation he worked several jobs before entering the Army where he served two years.  After his military service he started working for Miley Trailer company building horse trailers.  He then started work at McQuerry Trailer Company as a welder.  After he left McQuerry Trailer Company he took a course in welding at Weatherford College to learn different types of welding.  Then he started his own welding business building barns and fences.  The last 15 years he worked digging post holes with his tractor and Bel-tech digger.   He loved this job, except for the two times he drilled through a gas line.  He had to give up this job due to macular degeneration.

Bobby was so proud of his family that he often told people, “Our’s is a loving family.”  He was so proud of his grandchildren and often talked of little else.  He looked forward to his summer trips to Colorado to camp, fish, visit with friends and family, and ride his 4-wheeler in the mountains.  He loved to tell jokes just to hear people laugh.  Bobby and Martha attended the Parker County Cowboy Church.

Bobby married Martha Ray Jones on November 28, 1970, in Lampasas.  They were the proud parents to two sons, Robert Heath and Chad Farrell.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 11 siblings and their spouses, Maude Fowler (Amos), Ed Wallis, Lonnie Wallis (Sybil), Ilene Measures (Tom), Juanita Lucius (Harry), Evelyn Dunn (Emmett), Margaret Mader (Delma), Herbert Wallis (Madge), Katherine Ellis (Henry), Duffy Lee (RB), and Pauline Fondren (Elmer).

He is survived by wife, Martha; sons, Chad, Heath and wife, Stacie; four grandchildren, Blayne, Brayden, Emma, and Mychaela;  sister-in-law, Beth Barnett; and his brother-in-law, Jim Jones.
