Bobby Gene Vest, Sr.

Bobby Gene Vest, Sr., age 80, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022 in Weatherford. Graveside Service: 10 A.M. Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas. Bobby was born in West Point, Mississippi on March 16, 1942 to James Horton and Ella Mae Vest. He graduated from West Point High School and joined the Navy shortly after, in 1962. Bobby married Linda Gerron in 1968 and they had three children together. He was a construction manager and a truck driver. Bobby was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His pastimes included fishing, hunting, and being with his family. He loved to sit on his porch in the country with his beloved dog Cricket. Bobby will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda, of 54 years; and son, Bobby Gene Vest, Jr. He is survived by his son, Kevin Vest and wife, Amber; daughter, Misty Trentham and husband, Darrell; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Mooney and husband, John, and Jenny Parain.
