Bobby Clyde Mundy, Sr.

Bobby C. Mundy Sr, 88, passed away peacefully at home, on September 4, 2026 in Weatherford, Texas.

Celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, September 25, 2026, at White’s Funeral Home Chapel in Springtown, Texas.

Bobby was born August 15,1938, in Sanger, Texas to Otis Mundy and Elga Wilson.

He owned and operated Bodel Tire in Fort Worth, Texas for over 25 years, retiring in 2000.

He was greatly involved in hobbies of Motorcycling riding, camping, hunting and in his later years building and flying RC Plans and golfing. He found love and happiness spending time with his family, near and far in stories, celebrations and holiday gatherings.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death in 2011, by his wife of 53 years, Claudia Defayne and his son, Bobby Mundy Jr., in 2010.

He is survived by his daughter, Vanita King and husband David; grandchildren, Clinton King and wife Celina of Tolar; Bobbie Jo Smith and husband David of Grand Saline; Cassie and Buddy Mundy; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Joann Ferguson, Edna Watson, Cathy Smith, and Pam Johnson; brother, Richard Mundy; and numerous nieces, nephews and a multitude of great friends.
