Billy Wayne Whitaker, 83, dedicated husband, loving father and grandfather passed away Friday, March 19, 2021.
Service: 12:00 (Noon) Friday, March 26, 2021 in White’s Chapel of Memories.
Visitation: 10 to noon Friday, March 26, 2021 at the funeral home before the service.
Interment: East Greenwood Cemetery, Weatherford.
Billy was born November 11, 1937 in Centerview, Texas to Almond Lee and Inez Manning Whitaker. Billy was a longtime resident of Tyler and a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. He worked at Tyler Pipe, Kelly Springfield, A.B. Dick and ran his own copy/printer service business, ATM service repair.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Ruth E. Whitaker in 2020, they were married for 59 years.
Survivors: Children, Robert L. Whitaker and Steve W. Whitaker; grandchildren, Christian, Derek, Honour and Jordan.
Billy had an incredible work ethic, was a great friend and very dependable and giving. He will be missed by all that knew him.
