Billy W. (Bill) Hickman took God’s hand on July 11, 2017, in Azle, Texas.Bill was born January 5, 1939 in Cotton Valley, LA to W.J. Hickman & Julia McFarland Hickman. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and later retired from Bell Helicopter. He was a member of the Springtown Church of Christ, where he was known as ‘The Gum Man’. Everyone he met has a story to tell and will always remember his contagious smile. He was bigger than life, and deeply loved by his family and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, two sisters, and wife, Oleen Hickman.He is survived by his wife, Pat Miller Hickman; Sons: Shane Hickman (Cynthia), Shannon Hickman (Jennifer); Stepson: Brian Miller (Alison); Mother-In-Law: Loree Potter; Grandchildren: Emma, Dexter, Keaton, Shelby, Carson, Landry; Great-Grandchild: Ella, and several nieces and nephews.
