Father, grandfather, uncle, and veteran Bill Leonard Pierce passed from this world on Saturday, August 9th, 2025, to reunite with the love of his life, his beloved wife Aleshia.

Born April 23rd, 1947, in Palo Pinto county to Leonard “Red” Wilson Pierce and Drusie Esta Pierce, Bill grew up in Gordon, Texas, and graduated from Gordon High School in 1965. He married Aleshia Newberry on June 10th, 1967, and soon after started a family that grew great both in number and in love.

An avid outdoorsman, Bill impressed on his children a deep admiration and respect for nature both near and far. He often took his family on trips to Colorado and New Mexico, and could regularly be found spending time at Lake Mineral Wells State Park.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, sister Cathie Gordon, and his wife Aleshia. He is survived by his children: Brad Pierce and wife Stacey, of Mineral Wells, Michael Pierce and wife Erin, of Aledo, Erik Pierce and wife Kelsi, of Lubbock, and Christen Wood and husband Justin, of Grandview; grandchildren Caleb, Matthew, and Jordan Pierce, Ethan and Andrew Pierce, Leila, Barrett, Isla, and Bridger Pierce, and Pierce Wood; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In honor of the deceased, donations may be made to Texas Parks and Wildlife.

Memorial Visitation: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 23, 2025 at White's Funeral Home Chapel, 101 NE 4th Ave, Mineral Wells 76067.
