Bettye Jo Fritts

Bettye Jo Fritts was 90 when she went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 19, 2023. She passed away peacefully at her home with her family and friends by her side. Graveside Service: 2 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche. Visitation: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at White’s Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Bettye was born March 14, 1932 in Comanche, to H. C. and Alva Smith. She married J. C. (Joe) Fritts on January 10, 1951 in Comanche. They made their home in Weatherford in 1952. She was a loving mother and housewife and her family always came first. With her sweet and easy-going personality, she was loved by everyone she knew. Bettye was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Fritts; daughter, Deborah Fritts; sisters, Gaye Smith, Jean Leach, and Patsy Boyd; and brother, Jack Smith. Survivors: Daughters, Linda Fritts Pate, and Nancy Fritts Whatley; sons-in law, Billy Pate, and Russell Whatley.
